SLC RECAP:

Every year, SWCTA HOSA attends the HOSA State Leadership Conference. At this conference, you will meet thousands of other Nevada HOSA members who have the same passions and aspirations as you. Eventually, you will compete in the competition you have chosen prior to the event and demonstrate your knowledge of the competition. On the final day, winners will be announced and will be given a certificate and/or medal for their diligence and hard work. This is a very enjoyable event that allows you to make new friends, have fun, and compete in competitive events that you've prepared hard for. The top three people who place in each competitive event will be eligible to go to the HOSA International Leadership Conference which will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana this upcoming year, allowing them to compete against HOSA members from across the nation. 

WHERE IS SLC HELD?

Every two years, the competition is held in Reno, Nevada and the next two years are held in our hometown of Las Vegas. This year, it will be held in Las Vegas, NV! 

LAST YEAR'S SLC:

HOSA's lastest SLC took place in Reno in March 2025. We asked two members to share their experience competing in SLC. Yaritzza Montenegro describes her experience. "It was a proftible experience," Montenegro said. "Through my competition event, I was able to figure out how to use my presenting skills and how to work with someone else. It was fun to hang out with other HOSA members and overall we learned a lot about each other.
